Regular Season Round 7: Nymburk - Sokol Prazsky 85-73

There was no surprise when 5th ranked Sokol Prazsky (2-5) was defeated on the road by second ranked Nymburk (6-1) 85-73 on Sunday. Nymburk forced 19 Sokol Prazsky turnovers. It was a great evening for point guard Arsen Gevorkyan (175-2006) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 8 rebounds. Slovakian guard Peter Kovacik (190-2005) helped adding 16 points and 4 steals. Five Nymburk players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Robert Lizalek (190-2005) responded with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Jakub Kristan (198-2006) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nymburk keeps a position of league leader, which they share with GBA Lions and Opava. Sokol Prazsky lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with five games lost. Nymburk will meet Sokol Pisek (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Sokol Prazsky will play against Slavoj in Litomerice and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
