Regular Season Round 4: Thor AK - Selfoss 93-80

Thor AK's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Selfoss (1-3) 93-80. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Reynir Robertsson (186) who helped to win the game recording 32 points and 6 assists and American guard Harrison Butler (196, college: SUU) who added 27 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Thor AK players scored in double figures. Thor AK's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American forward Mike Asante (201, college: Academy of Art) responded with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 25 rebounds and 7 assists and point guard Isak Perdue (186-2003) scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Thor AK left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Selfoss. It was Selfoss' third loss in a row. Thor AK will play against higher ranked IR (#3) in Reykjavik in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Selfoss will play at home against Hrunamenn (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
