There was no surprise when 8th ranked Cornella (2-3) lost on the road to fourth ranked Vic (4-1) 93-78 on Saturday. Vic dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Cornella's 32. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Forward David Vidal (194-1997) nailed 23 points and 5 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winning side and guard Pol Oliver (188-1994, college: NW Nazarene) accounted for 14 points. Dominican Alejandro Quezada (195-1995) came up with 20 points and 8 rebounds and Dominican Joelvin Cabrera (193-1999) added 22 points respectively for Cornella in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Vic.
