There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Recklinghausen (4-5) edged on the road 8th ranked Muenster 2 (3-5) 85-82 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American forward Zachary Hinton (201-1994, college: Rocky Mountain) who had a double-double by scoring 31 points and 12 rebounds. Naturalized Croatian Marco Buljevic (197-1987) chipped in 17 points and 7 assists. Four Recklinghausen players scored in double figures. Guard Thore Dilschmann (186-2006) produced 22 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and Icelandic forward Viktor Ludviksson (202-2006, agency: Blacktop Management) added 16 points and 13 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Muenster 2's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Recklinghausen moved-up to eighth place. Muenster 2 lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. They share it with Koeln DTV. Recklinghausen will meet at home higher ranked Grevenbroich (#3) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
