Regular Season Round 8: Hanau - Stuttgart MVT 55-77
Date: October 28, 2023
Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Stuttgart MVT (5-2) outscored on the road 13th ranked Hanau (1-5) 77-55 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Greek guard Vassilis Lampropoulos (196-1990) who scored 19 points. Naturalized Greek power forward Alexander Komitakis (203-1987) chipped in 2 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Jeremie Okitasumbu (197-2006) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds and Tyrese Kilee (193-2003) added 5 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Stuttgart MVT moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Reutlingen. Hanau lost third consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with five games lost. Stuttgart MVT will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Hanau will play against Lich Basketball (#9) and hope to win that game.
