Regular Season Round 8: Krosno - Bydgoszcz 73-70

The most exciting game of round 8 in the 1Liga took place in Krosno. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of second-ranked Enea Astoria (5-3) to third ranked Miast Szkla (6-2) 73-70 on Saturday evening. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The best player for the winners was American guard Myles Rasnick (185-1999, college: Maryville, TN) who scored 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Center Przemyslaw Wrona (205-1993) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Mateusz Kaszowski (181-2001) produced 21 points and forward Szymon Kiwilsza (201-1997) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Enea Astoria's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Miast Szkla moved-up to second place. Enea Astoria at the other side dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Radom. Miast Szkla are looking forward to face league's leader Gornik in Walbrzych in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Enea Astoria will play on the road against Kotwica (#8) in Kolobrzeg and is hoping to win this game.
