Everything went according to plan when thirteenth ranked Seawolves (2-2) defeated 16th ranked Tigers (1-4) in Rostock 108-103 on Sunday. Seawolves made 31-of-40 free shots (77.5 percent) during the game. Seawolves outrebounded Tigers 50-36 including 36 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. American Derrick Alston Jr (206-1997, college: Boise St.) nailed 29 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import center Chevez Goodwin (206-1998, college: USC) accounted for 18 points and 14 rebounds. Puerto Rican-Panamanian point guard Jhivvan Jackson (183-1998, college: UTSA) came up with 32 points and 9 assists and American forward Jimmy Boeheim (204-1998, college: Syracuse) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Tigers in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Seawolves moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Ludwigsburg and Wuerzburg. Tigers lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fifteenth position with four games lost. They share it with Heidelberg and Crailsheim. Seawolves will meet EnBW Ludwigsburg (#8) on the road in the next round. Tigers will play against ALBA Berlin (#3) and hope to win that game.
