VTB-Youth League top team - CSKA-Junior (9-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eleventh ranked UNICS-2 (2-6) in Kazan 92-57. CSKA-Junior dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to UNICS-2's 30. CSKA-Junior forced 31 UNICS-2 turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Guard Daniil Klyuchenkov (199-2004) scored 16 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 7 steals to lead the charge for the winners and center Kirill Popov (208-2004) chipped in 11 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side guard Vladimir Naumov (195-2004) responded with 15 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Ilya Volodin (186-2004) scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. CSKA-Junior have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-1 record. UNICS-2 lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with six games lost. CSKA-Junior will play against N.Novgorod-2 (#8) in Nizhny Novgorod in the next round and are hoping to win another game. UNICS-2 will play at home against Enisey-2 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
