A very close game took place in Istanbul betweenDarussafaka Lassa and Galatasaray . Third ranked Darussafaka Lassa (5-2) got a very close home victory over 10th ranked Galatasaray (3-4). Darussafaka Lassa managed to escape with a 3-point win 75-72 on Saturday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Darussafaka Lassa made 29-of-35 free shots (82.9 percent) during the game, while Galatasaray only scored nine points from the stripe. It was a great evening for American center David McCormack (208-1999, college: Kansas) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman (193-1994, college: Michigan) helped adding 12 points and 4 steals. At the losing side Bulgarian-American point guard Dee Bost (188-1989, college: MSU) responded with 7 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists and Bosnian center Miralem Halilovic (205-1991) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. Galatasaray's coach Zvezdan Mitrovic tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Darussafaka Lassa have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 5-2 record behind leader Anadolu Efes, which they share with Besiktas and Petkim. Loser Galatasaray keeps the tenth position with four games lost.
