Regular Season Round 13: Delikatesas - Vilkaviskis 74-88

The biggest surprise of round 13 in NKL was guestVilkaviskis ' (7-5) road victory over 6th ranked Delikatesas (6-6) 88-74 on Thursday evening. Vilkaviskis dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Delikatesas ' 34 and made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Delikatesas 43-24 including a 28-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Vilkaviskis made 19 blocks. American-Nigerian guard Ajare Sanni (190-2000, college: UCSB) fired 34 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners. Rokas Stankevicius (202-1995, agency: BIG) chipped in 10 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Norwegian forward Olisa Nwachie (203-1996, college: Westmont) produced 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and swingman Lukas Kazlauskas (188-1992) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Vilkaviskis and five Delikatesas players scored in double figures. Vilkaviskis moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Zalgiris II. Delikatesas lost their third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with six games lost.
