Regular Season Round 10: Nokia - Kobrat 74-91

The most important game in the last round took place in Nokia between second ranked Nokia (7-3) and sixth ranked Kobrat (6-4) on Friday night. Nokia was defeated by Kobrat at home 91-74. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Nokia. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 9-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 91-74. Kobrat outrebounded Nokia 46-30 including a 30-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. The game was dominated by American players. Point guard Taz Sherman (184-1999, college: WVU) fired 37 points (!!!) for the winners. Guard Anthony Roberson (196-1994, college: UCO) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Both Gach (201-1999, college: Utah) produced 24 points and 9 rebounds and guard Tucker Richardson (196, college: Colgate) added 11 points and 8 assists respectively for lost side. Kobrat have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Kataja. Nokia at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. They share it with Korihait. Kobrat is looking forward to face Vilpas (#7) in Salo in the next round. Nokia will play on the road against KTP-Basket (#4) in Kotka and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
