Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth rankedKeflavik and 8th ranked Grindavik had identical 4-3 record. But Grindavik was not able to use a home court advantage and was crushed by the opponent from Keflavik 111-82 on Friday night. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Keflavik shot 61.5 percent from the field. Keflavik outrebounded Grindavik 43-32 including a 37-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. American point guard Dedrick Basile (178-1994, college: CSUB) added 18 points and 5 assists for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Keflavik (5-3) moved-up to second place, which they share with 6 other teams. Loser Grindavik dropped to the ninth position with four games lost.
