The game had a very big importance for second-rankedAEL as it allowed them to take a leadership position. AEL smashed 3rd ranked Moufflons in Limassol 94-41 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Moufflons. The game without a history. AEL led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Moufflons to just 7 points in third quarter. AEL held Moufflons to an opponent 22.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 50.0 percent accuracy of the winners. They outrebounded Moufflons 54-32 including a 41-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. AEL looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Moufflons ' players. The best player for the winners was American swingman Sara Dickey (177-1995, college: Evansville) who scored 23 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Kyriaki Taylor (190-2000, college: Florida SW) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Four AEL players scored in double figures. AEL's coach Giorgos Palalas felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Kylie Meadows (180, college: Bluefield) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and forward Ligia Ioannou (180-2002) added 6 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Newly promoted Moufflons keeps the third place with four games lost.
