Regular Season Round 10: Dubrava - Cibona 73-78

The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Zagreb:Cibona (#2) and Dubrava (#8). Despite it looked like an easy game for Cibona, those rules do not exist in derby games. It's more the case of honor for local supporters and such games have that special and unique approach you cannot find in other games. Host Dubrava challenged much higher ranked Cibona giving them a very tough game, but finally losing it by five points 78-73 . Cibona looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Dubrava helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international Domagoj Vukovic (208-1993) had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Ivan Perasovic (200-2002) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Cibona players scored in double figures. At the losing side naturalized Swiss forward Toni Rocak (206-1999, college: USF) responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and point guard Karlo Vragovic (192-1989) scored 12 points. Dubrava's coach Damir Miljkovic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cibona (9-1) have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain second position behind leader Zadar. Dubrava at the other side keeps the eighth place with seven games lost. They share the position with Zabok.
