Regular Season Round 10: Crailsheim - Tuebingen 87-84

Bottom-rankedHakro Merlins managed to get a second victory, breaking the eight-game losing streak. This time they edged fourteenth-ranked Tigers in Crailsheim 87-84 . It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Tigers. Crailsheim made 24-of-29 charity shots (82.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 25 Tuebingen turnovers. Strangely Tuebingen outrebounded Crailsheim 42-22 including a 27-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Tuebingen was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward James Murray-Boyles (200-1997, college: UNCP, agency: Players Group) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws). The other American import point guard Brandon Childress (183-1997, college: Wake Forest) contributed with 18 points and 4 assists for the winners. Five Hakro Merlins players scored in double figures. American forward Jimmy Boeheim (203-1998, college: Syracuse) replied with 26 points and 9 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!) and naturalized Croatian Mateo Seric (204-1999) added 24 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Tuebingen. Tigers' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Crailsheim (2-8) moved-up to seventeenth place, which they share with Heidelberg. Newly promoted Tuebingen dropped to the thirteenth position with seven games lost. They share it with Braunschweig and Weissenfels.
