There was a surprise result when eighth rankedChomutov (3-10) beat at home much higher ranked Sokol Prazsky (11-2) 86-75 on Friday. Chomutov outrebounded Sokol Prazsky 54-39 including a 39-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Nestor Boyko (193-1999) nailed 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Jiri Hlava (168-2002) accounted for 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Chomutov players scored in double figures. Forward Petr Stovicek (200-2004) came up with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Daniel Zach (195-1997) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Sokol Prazsky in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Chomutov maintains eighth place with 3-10 record, which they share with Ostrava. Loser Sokol Prazsky still keeps top position with two games lost. They share it with Svitavy.
