There was no surprise in Limassol where 10th rankedAchilleas (2-8) was crushed by fifth ranked AEL (7-2) 82-41 on Friday. The game without a history. AEL led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Achilleas K. to just 4 points in first quarter. They outrebounded Achilleas 48-29 including a 37-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. AEL shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Achilleas ' players. The game was also dominated by American players. Forward Tyrn Bryan Flowers (206-1998, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: Green Sports Management) scored 23 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Jordan Shepherd (193-1997, college: California) chipped in 13 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Four AEL players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Zac Watson (201, college: Longwood) responded with 18 points and 9 rebounds and forward Bilal Shabazz (203, college: MSUB) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. AEL have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Keravnos. Loser Achilleas K. keeps the tenth position with eight games lost.
