Regular Season Round 17: Ridzene - Bracknell 84-60

Very expected game in Riga where bottom-ranked BritishBracknell (0-12) was crushed by thirteenth ranked Latvian Ridzene (8-3) 84-60 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Ridzene. Bracknell managed to win fourth quarter 22-19 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Ridzene dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Bracknell 's 34. Ridzene forced 29 Bracknell turnovers. The best player for the winners was guard Rihards Ivanovs (182-2007) who scored 19 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Renars Jasans (192-2007) chipped in 18 points and 6 rebounds. Sebastien Williams produced 26 points and Samuel Spring added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the seventh consecutive win for Ridzene . They moved-up to fourth place. Bracknell lost their twelfth game in a row. They still close the standings with 12 games lost.
