Very important is a road loss of second rankedTSU (6-2) against fourth ranked Kutaisi (5-4) on Wednesday night. Visiting TSU was defeated by Kutaisi in a tough game in Kutaisi 78-83 . The former international power forward Giorgi Korsantia (207-1998, agency: BIG) scored 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American point guard Detrek Browning (183, college: FMU, agency: BIG) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Kutaisi players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international forward Aleksandre Phevadze (207-1998) responded with 23 points and 7 rebounds and the former international point guard George Tsintsadze (194-1986) scored 17 points. Kutaisi moved-up to third place, which they share with Batumi and GAU. Defending champion TSU keeps the second position with two games lost. Kutaisi will play against RASHI (#10) in Tbilisi in the next round and are hoping to win another game. TSU will play at home against Iverioni (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
