Everything went according to plan when fourth rankedGiessen (9-4) outscored at home 9th ranked Haiterbach (6-7) 90-54 on Sunday. The game without a history. Giessen led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Haiterbach 's 36. Giessen forced 30 Haiterbach turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Josiah De La Cerda (203, college: OUAZ) who scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Orkun Mehmed (188) chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds. Four Giessen players scored in double figures. Giessen's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was center Sascha Kesselring (209-1985) who recorded 12 points and 7 rebounds and Alexander Feldberg added 14 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively.
