Regular Season Round 12: Vechta - Chemnitz 80-81

The most exciting game of round 12 in the BBL took place in Vechta. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 6th rankedRasta Vechta (7-5) to first ranked Chemnitz (11-1) 81-80 on Wednesday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard DeAndre Lansdowne (188-1989, college: Fort Lewis) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and Kevin Yebo (207-1996) who added 17 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was American guard Tommy Kuhse (188-1998, college: SMC) with 22 points and 5 rebounds and center Johann Gruenloh (210-2005) scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Four Chemnitz and five Vechta players scored in double figures. Rasta Vechta's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Chemnitz have an impressive 11-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-1 record. Newly promoted Vechta dropped to the seventh place with five games lost. They share the position with Ludwigsburg and Hamburg.
