There was no surprise when 6th rankedEmpoli (7-5) was defeated at home by second ranked Scrivia (11-1) 69-62 on Friday. Scrivia made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game, while Empoli only scored three points from the stripe. The best player for the winners was international point guard Beatrice Attura (170-1994, college: NSU) who scored 25 points and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Naturalized Canadian forward Alyssa Cerino (184-1997) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Latvian center Marta Miscenko (194-1995, college: Wingate) who recorded 16 points and 9 rebounds and guard Angelica Castellani (170-2000) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively.
