Everything went according to plan when third rankedM.Rehovot (4-1) defeated on the road 5th ranked E.Shomron (3-3) 93-88 on Friday. M.Rehovot made 28-of-34 free shots (82.4 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Guard Omer Ben David (188-2001) notched 20 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and Tal-Or Peled (194-2002) supported him with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Even 31 points and 5 rebounds by forward Yuval Levin (202-2003, agency: Avi Zilberman) did not help to save the game for E.Shomron . Forward Aviv Shimoni (198-1996) added 15 points and 11 rebounds. Five M.Rehovot and four E.Shomron players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. M.Rehovot have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Loser E.Shomron dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with H.Gilboa Galil and E.Netanya.
