There was a minor upset when 9th rankedE.Shomron (3-5) was defeated at home by twelfth ranked M.Rishon (2-5) 87-75 on Tuesday. M.Rishon looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Shalev Lugashi (194-2001) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and the former international Raviv Pitshon (198-1989) who added 19 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals during the contest. Forward Aviv Shimoni (198-1996) responded with 23 points (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!) and naturalized Polish center Ido Flaisher (208-1998, college: Hawaii) scored 8 points and 12 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. M.Rishon maintains twelfth position with 2-5 record. E.Shomron lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with five games lost. They share the position with Ramat Hash. and H.Safed Galil.
