Very predictable result when second rankedKR (11-2) rolled over 7th ranked Thor (5-8) in Reykjavik 97-77 on Thursday. KR forced 24 Thor turnovers. Strangely Thor outrebounded KR 51-31 including a 19-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American point guard Nimrod Hilliard IV (183-1993, college: NCCU) nailed 20 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side and point guard Veigar Hlynsson (196-2001) accounted for 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Hungarian-American power forward Jason Gigliotti (203-1999, college: UM-Dearborn) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 rebounds and guard Smari Jonsson (179-2001) added 17 points and 5 assists respectively for Thor in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for KR . They maintain second place with 11-2 record behind leader IR, which they share with Fjolnir. Loser Thor AK dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost.
