Regular Season Round 19: Lich Basketball - Mannheim 109-58

There was no surprise when 11th rankedMannheim (7-10) was outleveled on the road by fifth ranked Lich Basketball (12-5) 109-58 on Saturday. Lich Basketball dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Mannheim 's 30. They outrebounded Mannheim 46-29 including a 38-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Lich Basketball shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Mannheim 's players. It was an exceptional evening for the former international Johannes Lischka (203-1987) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists. Center Finn Jakob (201-2001) accounted for 12 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Four Lich Basketball players scored in double figures. Julian Surblys (203-2002) came up with 13 points and 9 rebounds and American guard Chris Teasley (191-1990, college: VWU) added 14 points respectively for Mannheim in the defeat. Lich Basketball have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Salzkotten. Mannheim lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. They share it with Soeflingen.
