Everything went according to plan when third rankedSalzkotten (12-5) defeated at home 5th ranked Loewen (9-9) 93-87 on Saturday. It was an exceptional evening for Lithuanian Dainius Zvinklys (203-1990) who led the winners and scored 32 points and 6 rebounds. American point guard Keith Hayes II (178, college: William Jewell) accounted for 24 points for the winning side. Kosovan guard Faton Jetullahi (188-1994) came up with 25 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Jamal Wright (179-1997, college: High Point) added 24 points and 6 assists respectively for Loewen in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Salzkotten have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Newly promoted Salzkotten maintains third place with 12-5 record having four points less than leader Veitshoechheim, which they share with Lich Basketball. Loser Loewen keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. They share it with Koeln DTV.
