Regular Season Round 16: Hottur - Hamar 93-80

Bottom-rankedHamar (0-16) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 93-80 loss to seventh ranked Hottur (9-7) in Egilsstadir on Thursday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Spanish forward David Guardia (200-1990) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and guard Adam Asgeirsson (192-1998, college: John Brown) who added 23 points during the contest. Hottur's coach Einar Johannsson used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Romanian swingman Dragos Diculescu (196-1999, agency: VM Hoops Agency) responded with 25 points and 8 rebounds and French guard Franck Kamgain (190-1999, college: HSU) scored 24 points. Hottur moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Alftanes. Newly promoted Hamar still closes the standings.
