Regular Season Round 23: Challans - Tours 66-75

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Vendee Challans (10-12) was defeated at home by third ranked Tours (15-8) 75-66 on Friday. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian Augustinas Venckus (190-1997) who scored 17 points and 4 assists. Seychellois center Abdel Kader Sylla (204-1990) chipped in 11 points. Naturalized American forward Marc Gosselin (201-1996, college: WCU) produced 14 points and 8 rebounds and Bahamas forward Radshad Davis (195-1996, college: FIU) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Tours maintains third place with 15-8 record having just two points less than leader Quimper, which they share with Caen. Loser Vendee Challans keeps the tenth position with 12 games lost. Tours will meet at home league's second-placed Chartres in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Challans will play against Les Sables (#13) in Les Sables-D'Ollone and hope to secure a win.
