No shocking result in a game when third rankedGaziantep (17-5) won against at home bottom-ranked Balikesir (7-15) 107-102 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 9 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 107-102. Gaziantep shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 54.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 48 assists comparing to just 23 passes made by Balikesir 's players. American point guard Maurice Watson (178-1993, college: Creighton) fired a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 32 assists for the winners. Forward Yigit Onan (207-2002) chipped in 26 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Guard Alihan Genc (189-1998) produced 31 points and 7 assists and American point guard Marquis Wright (185-1995, college: Siena, agency: Octagon Europe) added 21 points, 6 rebounds and 13 assists respectively for lost side. Five Gaziantep and four Balikesir players scored in double figures. Balikesir's coach Fahri Guler tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Gaziantep have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 17-5 record having just three points less than leader Yalovaspor. Balikesir lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom place with 15 games lost.
