Regular Season Round 16: Tornado KM - SKM I 85-70

There was no surprise in Kaunas where 6th rankedSKM I (9-7) was defeated by second ranked Tornado KM (14-2) 85-70 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Tornado KM led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Tornado KM forced 25 SKM I turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Tornado KM made 9 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of swingman Orestas Seputis (193-2006) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 9 rebounds and Ukrainian guard Hryhorii Leskiv (180-2007) who added 25 points during the contest. At the losing side forward Gabrielius Jokubauskas (195-2006) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Titas Dabriega (196-2006) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Tornado KM maintains second position with 14-2 record behind leader Zalgiris. Loser SKM I keeps the sixth place with seven games lost.
