There was an upset when higher rankedSan Severo (15-10) was outscored on the road by twelfth ranked Lumezzane (11-14) 90-58 on Sunday. Lumezzane dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to San Severo 's 24. Manuel Di Meco (202-1997, agency: SLN) nailed 28 points and 4 assists (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winning side and swingman Simone Vecerina (196-1999) accounted for 16 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Four Lumezzane players scored in double figures. Lumezzane's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Swingman Mattia Magrini (190-1993) came up with 15 points and Georgian center Roman Tchintcharauli (205-2002) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for San Severo in the defeat.
