There was a small surprise when eleventh rankedH.Safed Galil (6-8) edged on the road 8th ranked H.Kfar Qasem (5-8) 89-87 on Wednesday. H.Safed Galil shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 60.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was an exceptional evening for the former international power forward Daniel Koperberg (208-1997) who led the winners and scored 23 points and 8 rebounds. Point guard Yuval Michaeli (185-1999, agency: BIG) accounted for 21 points and 4 assists for the winning side. Four H.Safed Galil players scored in double figures. H.Safed Galil's coach Liran Schwarzwald used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Guard Efi Tyomkin (190-2000, agency: BIG) came up with 26 points and naturalized Romanian Yaniv Solomon (200-1994) added 15 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals respectively for H.Kfar Qasem in the defeat. H.Safed Galil have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Ramat Hash. and M.Ma'ale Adum. H.Kfar Qasem lost third consecutive game. H.Kfar Qasem at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eleventh position with eight games lost. They share it with H.Gilboa Galil.
