There was no surprise in Stykkisholmur where 12th rankedSnaefell (2-17) was defeated by third ranked KR (15-2) 98-82 on Friday. KR dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Snaefell 's 20. KR forced 20 Snaefell turnovers. American point guard Nimrod Hilliard IV (183-1993, college: NCCU) scored 31 points to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Veigar Hlynsson (196-2001) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four KR players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Dutch forward Calvin Poulina (203-1999, college: Pitt St.) with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and forward Eythor Bardarson (191-2003) scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. KR have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with IR. Snaefell lost eleventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom place with 17 games lost.
