There was a minor upset when 13th rankedCassino (11-15) was defeated at home by fifteenth ranked Desio (11-15) 77-64 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was swingman Guglielmo Sodero (191-1993) who scored 13 points. Gabriele Giarelli (200-1993, agency: BIG) chipped in 11 points. Four Desio players scored in double figures. German forward Melkisedek Moreaux (198-1996, college: Mercyhurst) produced 17 points and 7 rebounds and guard Flavio Gay (185-1998) added 15 points and 4 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Desio moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Cassino .
