There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Azudense (6-14) beat higher ranked La Matanza (12-8) in Guadalajara 76-70 on Saturday. The winners were led by Dominican Luis De La Cruz (-1996) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and Argentinian-Italian forward Franco Ferraria-Amici (198-2001) supported him with 17 points and 9 rebounds. Even 20 points by Adrian Tato (190-2000) did not help to save the game for La Matanza. Forward Romen Hernandez (200-1991) added 15 points and 7 rebounds for the guests.
