There was no surprise in Balikesir where 13th rankedBurhaniye (8-18) was defeated by ninth ranked Emlak 2 (12-13) 84-67 . Emlak 2 outrebounded Burhaniye 36-22 including a 31-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Emlak 2 players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Burhaniye 's players. Point guard Ceren Akpinar (175-2005) notched 26 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and Serbian Mina Djordjevic (188-1999) supported her with 23 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Four Emlak 2 players scored in double figures. Emlak 2's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 35 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds by American center Tearra Banks (188-1995, college: Austin Peay) did not help to save the game for Burhaniye . Yagmur Yildiz (172-2000) added 14 points and 4 steals for the hosts. Emlak 2 moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Yalova Vip. Newly promoted Burhaniye keeps the thirteenth position with 18 games lost.
