There was a minor upset in Ramnicu Valcea where 11th rankedTimisoara (8-2) was rolled over by fourteenth ranked Rm Valcea (6-4) 101-76 on Saturday. The game without a history. Rm Valcea led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Timisoara 's 32. They outrebounded Timisoara 43-24 including a 31-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Rm Valcea especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Nigerian-Italian center Peter Olisemeka (207-1991) fired 26 points and 9 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners. The former international forward Radu Virna (190-1997, agency: BIG) chipped in 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Serbian guard Luka Mitrovic (191-1996) produced 13 points and 7 assists and Serbian forward Adam Mirkovic (199-1991) added 13 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Rm Valcea maintains fourteenth position with 6-4 record. Loser Timisoara keeps the eleventh place with two games lost. They share the position with Craiova and Targu Jiu.
