The most interesting game of round 5 in the Korisliiga was a home defeat of second-rankedNokia (18-9) to first ranked Seagulls (19-8) 85-77 in the game for the first place. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Nokia trailed by 17 points after 3 quarters before a 24-15 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 77-85 at the end of the game. Nigerian-American forward Chuba Ohams (206-1997, college: Fordham) stepped up and scored 21 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners and American Shavon Coleman (195-1992, college: LSU) chipped in 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Seagulls players scored in double figures. American-Ivorian forward Patrick Tape (208-1998, college: USF, agency: Players Group) responded with 19 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) and American forward Both Gach (201-1999, college: Utah) scored 14 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Defending champion maintains first place with 19-8 record. Nokia lost third consecutive game. They keep the second position with nine games lost.
