No shocking result in a game when fifth rankedLoewen (13-10) edged 12th ranked Recklinghausen (8-16) in Herten 69-66 on Saturday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Loewen forced 23 Recklinghausen turnovers. Strangely Recklinghausen outrebounded Loewen 44-32 including a 33-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. American guard Jamal Wright (179-1997, college: High Point) nailed 25 points for the winning side and Adam Raczkiewicz accounted for 16 points and 4 steals. Loewen's coach Robin Singh used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American forward Zachary Hinton (201-1994, college: Rocky Mountain) came up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 23 rebounds and center Henning Gustrau (199-2005) added 18 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Recklinghausen in the defeat. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Loewen . They moved-up to fourth place. Loser Recklinghausen keeps the twelfth position with 16 games lost.
