There was a minor upset when 6th rankedReutlingen (12-10) lost on the road to ninth ranked Mannheim (11-12) 88-79 on Sunday. Reutlingen trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 23-19 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 79-88 at the end of the game. Mannheim made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. Naturalized Russian Albert Kuppe (200-1988) nailed 35 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) for the winning side and American guard Chris Teasley (191-1990, college: VWU) accounted for 16 points and 7 assists. Teasley is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Point guard Kilian Fischer (184-2002) came up with 16 points and 7 rebounds and Malik Kudic (202-1999) added 18 points respectively for Reutlingen in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Mannheim maintains ninth place with 11-12 record. Loser Reutlingen keeps the sixth position with ten games lost.
