Round 15 most important game was a defeat of league's leaderMellieha (10-3). They were edged by second ranked Starlites (10-2) 98-97 on Sunday night. It was a key game for the top position in the league. Starlites forced 19 Mellieha turnovers. Strangely Mellieha outrebounded Starlites 36-14 including a 24-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American guard Christian Hinckson (201-1999, college: Binghamton) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Australian guard Matt Attard (188-1998, college: St.Francis, IL) helped adding 23 points and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was American swingman Tedrick Wolfe (196-1997, college: Wayland Baptist) with 33 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) and the former international David Bugeja (180-1992) scored 14 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Mellieha players scored in double figures. Starlites have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader. Mellieha at the other side dropped to the second place with three games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Starlites.
