Second Stage Round 7: SP Basket - Zlin 80-84

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Praha where 4th placed SP Basket (8-17) was defeated by fifth ranked Zlin (8-17) 84-80 on Friday. Zlin made 28-of-34 free shots (82.4 percent) during the game, while SP Basket only scored eight points from the stripe. It was a great evening for center Tomas Voslajer (211-1990) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 19 rebounds and 6 assists. Swingman Daniel Szarowski (182-1999) helped adding 17 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Zlin players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Adam Ruzicka (194-2004) responded with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and Matous Pelikan (196-2001) scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. Zlin moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated SP Basket. Zlin will meet at home league's second-placed Chomutov in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. SP Basket will play against Ostrava and hope to secure a win.
