There was no surprise in Balikesir where 12th rankedBurhaniye (9-20) was defeated by ninth ranked Yalova Vip (14-14) 88-82 on Friday. Yalova Vip made 27-of-32 free shots (84.4 percent) during the game, while Burhaniye only scored ten points from the stripe. Yalova Vip forced 20 Burhaniye turnovers. Strangely Burhaniye outrebounded Yalova Vip 44-27 including 31 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Kamaria McDaniel (178-1999, college: Michigan St.) scored 45 points (!!!), 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 7 steals to lead the charge for the winners and forward Asli Sevinc (178-1979) chipped in 15 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Yalova Vip's coach Rifat Petorak allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was American center Tearra Banks (188-1995, college: Austin Peay) with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 14 rebounds and Yagmur Yildiz (172-2000) scored 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Burhaniye players scored in double figures. Yalova Vip moved-up to eighth place. Newly promoted Burhaniye dropped to the eleventh position with 20 games lost. They share it with Mersin G..
