Regular Season Round 27: Limburg - Giessen 79-93

Very predictable result when third ranked Giessen (19-5) beat on the road 13th ranked Limburg (7-18) 93-79 on Saturday. Giessen looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists. It was a great evening for naturalized Serbian Nemanja Nadjfeji (198-2000) who led his team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 23 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). American forward Josiah De La Cerda (203, college: OUAZ) helped adding 40 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds (on 19-of-25 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was American forward Aaron Burt (198, college: Simpson, CA) with 30 points and 7 rebounds and Austrian-Croatian point guard Matej Kljaic (189-1993) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 assists. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Giessen. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Langen and Hagen BG. Loser Limburg keeps the thirteenth position with 18 games lost. Giessen will meet at home Reutlingen (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Limburg will play against Haiterbach (#9) and hope to secure a win.
