Very expected game when 8th ranked DutchDen Helder (1-3) was defeated at home by top-ranked Belgian Okapi Aalst (3-0) 81-69 on Saturday. Aalst dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Den Helder 's 32. Worth to mention a great performance of Montenegrin Ivan Maras (207-1986) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and Senegalese power forward Pape Badji (206-1992) who added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Okapi Aalst players scored in double figures. Okapi Aalst's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Irish guard Sean Flood (188-1996, college: Longwood) responded with 26 points and 6 assists and point guard Boyd Van Der Vuurst (193-1999) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Okapi Aalst have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Oostende and Leuven. Den Helder lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth place with three games lost.
