We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 8th rankedVendee Challans (14-17) lost at home to ninth ranked STB Le Havre (17-14) 91-79 on Tuesday. Le Havre made 25-of-28 free shots (89.3 percent) during the game, while Challans only scored nine points from the stripe. They outrebounded Challans 36-25 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Le Havre looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Valentin Bigote (196-1992) nailed 25 points and 6 assists (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!) for the winning side and DR Congolese-Belgian power forward Ruphin Kayembe (200-1992) accounted for 22 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four STB Le Havre players scored in double figures. Guard Paul Turpin (192-1993) came up with 25 points and 4 assists and Bahamas forward Radshad Davis (195-1996, college: FIU) added 9 points respectively for Challans in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. STB Le Havre have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Vendee Challans keeps the eighth position with 17 games lost. They share it with Rueil.
