Regular Season Round 26: Slask - Stal 103-95
Date: April 1, 2024
An interesting game was also surprising road defeat of 4th rankedStal (#4) in a game in Wroclaw versus Slask (#8) 103-95 . It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Stal. WKS Slask looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when WKS Slask made 8 blocks. Serbian center Dusan Miletic (213-1998) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points, 11 rebounds and 6 blocks (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Canadian point guard Marek Klassen (185-1992, college: PLNU) supported him with 17 points and 11 assists. Even 21 points and 9 rebounds by the former international forward Tomasz Gielo (205-1993, college: Ole Miss) did not help to save the game for Stal . Lithuanian Laurynas Beliauskas (194-1997) added 25 points and 6 assists for the guests. Five WKS Slask and four Stal players scored in double figures. Slask maintains eighth position with 14-12 record. Loser Stal keeps the fourth place with ten games lost. Slask will meet at home higher ranked Legia (#6) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Stal will play against King and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
