There was a small surprise when thirteenth rankedBesancon (9-22) edged at home 10th ranked Lorient (13-18) 90-88 on Saturday. Besancon looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The winners were led by American Mykal Riley (198-1985, college: Alabama) who scored that evening 30 points and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and point guard Anthony Da Silva (185-2001) supported him with 10 points and 6 assists. Four Besancon players scored in double figures. Even 28 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) by American swingman Jamar Abrams (201-1989, college: ECU, agency: Inception Sports) did not help to save the game for Lorient . Point guard Hugo Suhard (184-1992) added 20 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the guests. Lorient's coach Morgan Belnou rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Besancon maintains thirteenth position with 9-22 record. Loser Lorient keeps the tenth place with 18 games lost. They share the position with Les Sables.
