Hottur dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Valur's 30. Hottur had a 35-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. American guard Deontaye Buskey (185, college: Charleston So.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points. Danish forward Gustav Suhr-Jessen (201-1998, college: St.Anselm, agency: Blacktop Management) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Irish-British forward Taiwo Badmus (200-1993, college: UVA Wise) replied with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds and the former international guard Frank Booker (192-1994, college: S.Carolina) added 16 points in the effort for Valur.
